Principals of the three HVP Schools share news and priorities.

HVP Central - by Vishnu Dangi

We are all fine and the things at all schools are going well.

We would like to express our profound gratitude to you all for your love, support and contributions. We have received the money and this will indeed be a great support to accomplish our projects like replacing old furniture and building a new toilet at HVP Thali.

It does rain (not heavy though) every day in Kathmandu, but thank God no news of landslides and floods have yet been heard.

Students, staff, teachers are all very well and happy. Students are now preparing for the first term exams and they will keep getting your wishes and blessings.

Good news is that we had two volunteers from the UK  Dr. David Walker and Dr. Emily Asti. They just finished their medical studies from Nottingham University and a special thanks goes to Izzie Asti  (I am very glad to hear that Izzie Miss will  join the HVP UK)  for convincing her sister Emily and David to visit Nepal for this volunteering project .  They volunteered for about 4 weeks (from May 20 to June 15) at school. In between, they visited Gorkha and Pokhara and also went to observe some private and government hospitals in Kathmandu and Gorkha.  They stayed at school and it was truly very hard for me to believe that I was again back to school to stay with the volunteers after such a long time.   I hope they had a great time teaching mainly Science and spending some amazing times with students.

And, now we have another promising young volunteer teacher, Priyenka Devkota from UCL.  She is enjoying her time at school teaching English and spending lots of time with students even outside classrooms whenever she has free lessons.

HVP Thali - by Rajkumar Shrestha

We are pleased to share that we have received financial assistance for our need-based projects, particularly for the toilet construction initiative, which is a significant step toward improving hygiene and dignity for our students.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Merchant Taylor’s Boy’s School, the Atkin Charitable Foundation and HVPN-UK for their generous and continued support. Your contributions have made a meaningful difference in advancing our mission and reaching those in need.

Our construction project is progressing well and moving ahead rapidly. As I have already shared some photos, you can see the significant progress being made.  The girl’s toilet is currently under construction in first floor. The facility will also include the installation of pad vending machines to support menstrual hygiene. I will be sharing additional updates shortly. We are confident that the project will be completed by July.

We sincerely appreciate the generous support provided for furnishing the classrooms. We have already replaced the old furniture (Desk-Bench) with new sets in two classrooms and we have also placed an order for the remaining classroom furniture, where we expect to be delivered soon. Your support will greatly enhance the quality of our learning environment and made it more comfortable. We are truly grateful for your kindness. We sincerely hope for your continuous support in the future as we worked toward further improving our school. Your involvement plays a vital role in creating a more effective and inspiring learning environment.

We have received scholarship funds dedicated to supporting needy students. This generous contribution was provided entirely by HVP UK Scholarship fund. We are committed to managing this scholarship responsibly to assist underprivileged and deserving students who genuinely wish to pursue their education

SEE result of 2025 was good as previous year. Among 22 students 1 A+ ,  19 A & 2 B+. All students successfully passed and the academic performance for the year has been moderate.

At present the first terminal examination is going on. After completing the exam, students will go on summer vacation for a week and our regular classes will resume from 21st July.

HVP Dang & Children's Peace Home - by Bholanath Yogi

We at HVP Dang & CPH  are doing well. SEE results were very good this year. 20 students achieved 3 x A+, 7 x A, 8 x B+ and 2 x B.

The monsoon has started, mangos have ripened, so there is a big mango feast everyday in CPH!

Work on the new multi-use hall is a bit slow because of the monsoon.

Total student numbers is 310 in HVP-Dang, bit more than last year.

Total support for scholarship children:  NRs.3926580

HVP supports full, half and partially NRs.25470004

The cost of fees for the full scholarship students from CPH attending HVP Dang is NRs.1379580/- this amount CPH needs to pay to HVP. Where CPH students go to different colleges, their fee is not included here. That is around NRs. 150000/- per year

After Covid the CPH income has became almost half of the previous income that was boosted by annual volunteers. Total expenses is around NRs.4000000/- per annum and income is NRs.1900000/- including HVP- support. So every year we need to fundraise. It was easy when there were volunteers in the past.

First term exams will start from 9th July.

Yoga confidence and fair (Global Yoga Summit 2025) will be held in Dang on 11,12,13th of Oct.2025. Two Universities and many other organizations involved. I am an international Coordinator.  You all are invited! About 50 countries will participate.
